Rhino

Single Page Responsive WP theme

Introduction

The 'Rhino' theme is single paged wordpress theme but i can be multi-paged.

The 'logic' is to create a standalone page and load it's content to the main page via admin panels drag&drop home page creator.

Most of the stying in in page settings. In page options you can choose to display title, subtitle, slider, select section icon, select the basic style(dark/light), choose background(color/ image/ position/ repeat/ fixed)

Create Home Page

In the wordpress dashboard, create new page and choose the Home Page Template.

After that go to the Settings > Reading and select the previously created page as  Front Page.

 


Populate Homepage




Go to the Menus and add custom link. Following the given example - URL: #services Lavel: Services.

 

 

 

 

Setup Navigation

In order to setup the theme properly you need to make two different menus.
First one will be used on homepage(Theme Location 'Home Menu') and second will be used on all other(Theme Location 'Primary Menu').

Creation process is quite simiar. The only difference is linking. (the first screenshot is for 'Primary Menu' and second one is for ('Home Menu')

Page/ Secition Styling

Under every page there are these options

Add Blog

To add the new blog post in the wordpress dashboard and go to Post > New.

Choose format(Standard, Audio, Gallery, Image or Video ) and fillt he content.

Note: When you select Gallery, Audio or Video new box will appear.

 

 

Blog Page

 

To create the blog page, create a new page and select 'Blog Page' under Templates, now to display those posts in the homepage, under Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings add new section give it a title, pass the blog pages ID.

Add Portfolio

 

To add the new blog post in the wordpress dashboard and go to Portfolio> New.

Fill the content. If you want just an image portoflio add only the featuring image, for slider add gallery elements and for video pass the link to youtube video ( example: http://www.youtube.com/v/AO6PHCSrRIY?fs=1 ).

 

 

Portfolio Page

 

To create the portfolio page, create a new page and select 'Portfolio Page' under Templates, now to display those posts in the homepage, under Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings add new section give it a title, pass the porfoltio pages ID.

Typography

In admin panel under the typography you can change the fonts and load google fonts. To load custom google font check "load google font" and fill the name of the font.

maintenance

To activate maintenance mode check the "maintenance mode" under the admin panel > maintenance.
After choose the title, following text, ending message and you need to set the time of the maintenance ending.

Shortcodes

In the file you've downloaded you'll find plugins folder. You'll find revolution slider plugin as well as spoon-shortcodes plugion. Install both. And activate them.
In the page text editor new button will appear.

Slider Setup

Install the Revslider plugin from the plugin folder in the downloaded file.

After go to the page select 'Slider Template' as page Template and paste revslider alias in the Title Settings text field called 'slider'.
